From the Chairman/CEO

On February 28, 1906, the Jamison Door Company began in a small barn-like wooden building with a total of five employees, chartered under the name of Jones Cold Store Door Company. A year later, John V. Jamison, Sr. assumed the presidency and began a four-generation history of company management by his descendants, a history rich in a tradition of superior product quality and customer service.

I would like to personally welcome you to join Jamison Door Company in its 100th year celebration. In 2006, we are thanking our customers, highlighting our accomplishments, recognizing our people, and sharing our vision for the future.

Jamison has worked long and hard to become the world’s largest cold storage and specialty door manufacturer. Our hard-working employees have been the heart and soul of the company. Jamison’s highly-skilled staff of engineering, factory, office and field personnel is unsurpassed. Since our inception, 189 Jamison employees have been inducted into the Jamison 30-Year Club. Jamison was the first company in the State of Maryland to use a union, securing the State’s first Union Stamp. For the last 88 years, Jamison has enjoyed a success relationship with the Carpenters and Joiners Union of America.

This Commemorative Booklet is provided so you can share in our feeling of pride and accomplishment over the last 100 years. A sincere thank you goes out to all of the employees, retirees, customers, suppliers, contractors, partners and enthusiasts who have participated in making Jamison a success.

We look forward to continuing our progress long into the next century.

JOHN T. WILLIAMS
